World War II was 10 years over. The Korean War was winding down. Central Station at Calhoun and Main St. was bustling with rail travelers, as was Union Station at Calhoun and Second.
Pantaze Drug Store (one of Mr. Plough’s retail stores) was on the opposite corner to the Central Station and seemed to be the center of the commercial universe to most Memphians.
And here also was Grisanti’s on Main, over 40 years into their business and building a tradition of serving fine Italian Food to Mid-Southerners and many visitors to Memphis.
The Frank Grisanti’s Restaurant in the Embassy Suites Hotel in Memphis is proud to carry on that tradition.
